Monday, March 29 workout

While watching The Blacklist (March 26 episode)...

WORKOUT No. 1 - a manual workout, and it was a doozy! I'll get that written up ASAP.

My iFit score sits at 80, which isn't too bad!

Multiple workouts!

Here's where I'll post updates on multiple workouts over the past weekend.

Thursday, March 25 workouts

Here's the run down...this was done while watching the latest This Is Us on NBC, which focused on the war and uncle Nick seeing the twin babies.

WORKOUT No. 1 - a time of 18:31 and a distance of 0.74 miles. The estimated calorie burn was 108, and the elevation gain was 167 feet. The average pace (minutes / mile) was 25:04, and the effort score was 126.

My iFit score has jumped to 77!!

WORKOUT No. 2 - a time of 07:20 and a distance of about 0.33 miles. The calories burned was 53. The effort score was 55. The elevation gain was 75 feet. The average pace (minutes per mile) was 22:14...and I had shot the speed past 5 miles an hour for a brief spell. (That's too fast!)

This workout took place again while watching Batman, The Dark Knight on Netflix. Tonight the girls' basketball team won to go to state! The game was at the spacious Minnewaska Area high school gymnasium. It was fun. I got on the treadmill tonight sitting around 9,200 steps for the day. That shot past 9,500 with this workout tonight.

My iFit score has climbed again, this time it is at 80! For this week so far...the cumulative stats are: four miles of distance, 962 feet of elevation gain, 598 calories burned and a time of 1 hour, 35 minutes! This dates back to Saturday, March 20 as a running tally. My total calories burned for Thursday, March 25 is somewhere in the 160 range.

Wednesday, March 24 workout

So today has been a day! I was awake basically all night finishing the March 25 issue of the newspaper. It was a bitch and a half! I went to 12 pages, and one page was just a team photo basically. It took forever to slog out all the pages. I got home at 6:27 sharp, just in time for Jessica to take her van to work. That was ugly, getting just 40 minutes of sleep (about) before getting the girls to school. Then by 08:11 I was back in bed and falling back asleep. I remember waking up at 09:39 and dozing quickly back to sleep.

A few minutes after 11:00 and I was back at it, ready to go to the printing press. So adding it up, I operated today on just over 3 hours of sleep. I actually felt pretty good this afternoon getting ready for the long trip to Nevis for the basketball game. I am very likely running all kinds of adrenaline, which is not healthy at all.

Just shy of midnight, I snuck in another treadmill run.

WORKOUT No. 1 - a manual workout with a time of 05:51 and a distance of 0.27 miles. My estimated calorie burn was 43. I sped it up to over 4 miles an hour in the final 90 seconds or so, to try and lift that calorie number as high as I could. The elevation gain was 66 feet, and the average pace (minutes/mile) was 21:54. My effort score was 44.

My iFit score inched up to 66. I have a long ways to go. I am really trying to get 100 calories burnt each day on the treadmill. It's just a matter of fitting it into my schedule.

Weight wise, I am at 172 pounds, which is pretty amazing. That's just three pounds over my "bottomed out" weight that I logged this past fall. I really want to stick to about 170 pounds as best as I can.

Tuesday, March 23 workout !

Holy moly!

Manual workout with a time of 15:27 and a distance of 0.73 miles...this was after the subsection girls' basketball finals tonight! Yikes, what a night...the estimated calorie burn was 118, and the elevation gain (at 6 feet) was 229 feet. The average pace (at 2.5 miles an hour up to 2.8 usually) was 21:15 (minutes/mile) with an effort score of 119.

Time to get the March 25 issue put to bed! We are 40 minutes shy of midnight. I've been home for about two hours, and with all LUCK I will have the newspaper done in four hours flat.

My iFit score crept up to a whopping 66!!!

Sunday and Monday workouts - March 21 and March 22

The Sunday night workout was a tough one...but I stuck it out.

Sunday WORKOUT No. 1 = manual workout, time of 20:16 with a distance of 0.7 miles and 116 calories burnt.

Then we get to Monday night...snuck it in just before midnight after putting in a couple tough hours at the office getting some layout work done on this week's issue.

Monday night workout = a manual workout with a time of 06:03 and a distance of 0.27 miles. The estimated calorie burn was 42, and the elevation gain was 64. The average pace (minutes per mile) was 22:20 with the speed set to between 2 and 4 miles an hour. I ran it past 4 miles an hour in the final minute to try shooting past 40 calories burned. Mission accomplished. The effort score was 44.

I found a bottle of Blade in my office that had 8 pills in it!! My Blade ran out on Saturday night, if I remember correctly. So I went yesterday (Sunday) without it, going cold turkey is tough. Today I've had a minor nagging headache, not that serious. My energy dropped, and I forgot to get Vitamin K and forgot to double my Vitamin D intake.

I'm gonna try a little working out in the morning after breakfast. Time to write some sports stories and get to sleep.

Oh, and by the way, my iFit score has dropped to a dismal 64.

Saturday, March 20 workout

So you could say I fell off the wagon this past week! Not much for treadmill action to speak of. There were two workouts logged on March 16 and March 17, but I didn't blog about either of them. They totaled 1.4 miles and 131 calories.

Today my Blade supply basically ran out. I had the morning supply, but now I have just one pill left. So that's gotta tide me over. I need to get extra sleep this week, which will be extremely challenging considering all the games that are coming my way.

I watched the end of Vacation (2015) while doing this workout. It helped me push through, as my legs started to get pretty heavy past the 10-minute mark..

WORKOUT No. 1 = manual workout, time of 21:47 with a distance of 0.82 miles. Calories burnt: 118 and the elevation gain was 164 feet. The average pace (minutes/mile) was 26:25. I set the speed to 2.5 miles an hour at first, then slowed to 2 miles an hour. I pushed through at 2 miles an hour before quitting. The effort score was 143.

Today was section/state wrestling in Long Prairie. My cumulative steps are 7,647 after this workout. I'm gonna settle in and watch some Netflix (Batman?) and probably fall asleep. I need adequate sleep heading into tomorrow.

My iFit score is 75.

My iFit weekly score continues to drop again, and now it's down to 77.

Time to wrap up my girls' basketball story and get to sleep. An ugly Tuesday awaits tomorrow.

I was weak about a half hour before this workout and had two waffles/syrup. Ouch.

My iFit score has fallen to 77...the big hit I'm taking lately is not enough calories burnt.

Saturday, March 13 workout

What a day! What a day!

Fourth grade girls' basketball in the morning, and then about five hours' worth of wrestling in the afternoon.

I killed a good half hour or more touring Barrett and Hoffman after the wrestling was complete at WCA high school. It was a trip down memory lane.

Friday, March 5 workout(s)

Shortly after midnight, while watching Season 2, Episode 6 of Dynasty on Netflix (the tornado episode)...I wanted to log at least a 50-calorie workout.

I had actually watched a glimpse of the first episode of Man in the High Castle, checking on the status of our Amazon Prime account (which should be deleted).

Time to get back on the horse! I don't remember which night it was...I think it was last Saturday night, February 27, when I started to feel "under the weather" and drank about a gallon of water that evening to try flushing out whatever was coming my way. I had to take a few days off of working out to get my stamina back and try to get the whole thing back on track.

Got back on the treadmill

I'll have to look at the iFit software data, but earlier this week I got back on the treadmill for about 10 minutes just before midnight...
